The Blend Shelf, by Percolate
Espresso blend recipes for home roasters
Choose a starting recipe by what you want in the cup: chocolate and body, a brighter finish, or a balance that works with milk. An espresso label describes the intended brew method, not a guarantee about extraction or flavour.
Choose a useful first trial
Keep the brew dose, yield and rest interval steady when comparing ratios. For a first experiment, roast a small compatible pre-blend or roast components separately and compare blends by roasted weight. Each recipe states its method. Record what you actually tasted before changing the next batch.
Match the role and processing of a substitute, then taste it. Two coffees from the same country can behave differently. AI starter descriptions are intended flavour goals until a real roasting trial is shared.
